#YouOwnIt: Our Campaign With MAC Cosmetics Achieves A Record 2 Billion Views!

We owned it! To celebrate expressiveness and individuality, MAC Cosmetics and Pulse Advertising launched the #YouOwnIt campaign on TikTok during New York Fashion Week.

As can be expected during Fashion Week, many brands strut their stuff on the catwalk! To stand out from the crowd, especially amongst Gen Z, we focused our efforts on TikTok.

With the message #YouOwnIt, MAC — part of the Estée Lauder Group — wanted to encourage more diversity. 18 influencers from the US and Mexico were chosen to showcase the brand's cosmetics on the runway, and capture it via TikTok.

By creating innovative content which focused on inclusivity, diversity and the beauty of unique identity, the influencers gained a lot of attention, creating a platform to call on their respective communities to create the same. And that's exactly what happened! A wide network of followers were inspired to post their own content, sending the hashtag viral. Well over 2 billion views later, we achieved the highest number of video views ever with a TikTok campaign for MAC Cosmetics.
