Influencer Spotlight: Get To Know Eric Jess

Pulse Management is so excited to welcome Eric Jess @ericjess as one of the new additions to our roster.

Eric is based in LA and is the ultimate fashion kid. He is passionate about art direction, photography and high fashion, and is always spotted at major cultural events such as fashion weeks around the world, music festivals and more. We sat down with Eric to chat about his passion for fashion and about his career so far.

Tell us about yourself. Where did you grow up? Do you have any siblings or pets?

LA native here, one of the few it seems! I always had a couple cats growing up, no wonder I’m a cat dude and I’m an only child but did have three step-siblings!

What makes you excited about Pulse?

Mostly all the snacks in the office, joking, excited to work with a super involved team!

What brought you to be who you are today professionally? Did you always know you wanted to be an influencer?

No way. It’s actually funny I don’t think I’m much of someone that likes a lot of attention but I’ve always liked sharing and romanticizing my day to day so it was a natural progression.

How would you describe your personal style in three words?

Young, off-duty, and oversized.

Which one item of clothing would you not be able to live without?

I can live without anything, at the end of the day I LOVE clothes as a means to express myself but they are just clothes. But a big staple of mine is a pair of trousers, probably oversized, and in black.

What has your favorite collaboration been so far?

Ah, so many amazing projects I’ve been so fortunate to work on, it's hard to choose! Maybe a project that hasn’t come out yet but will this month with Gucci Fragrance or my Drop campaign with Barney’s or the time Farfetch flew me to London to create a custom sneaker with The Shoe Surgeon, actually yeah that one!

Which brands would you like to work with in the future?

Oh, I’d love to do something with Prada or Acne Studios but so many great brands that I’d love to work with in some way in the future!

Who is your style inspiration and in general what inspires you?

I think as for style inspiration I look more to the fashion houses for inspo versus a person and I think general street style really inspires me especially how skate kids dress, I think a lot of cool style comes from skate culture!

What was your favorite 2018 trend and what are you looking to experiment with in 2019?

I admit to really digging the dad sneaker and was really into that and as for 2019 I think we are going to see more interesting cuts for men especially in pants!

Will you be attending any NY Fashion Week shows or events?

I’m currently in Milan and then off to Paris for their fashion weeks so I’m sure naturally I’ll be out in New York too! But I’m guilty of never planning too far ahead.
